Our clients are at the heart of what we do. We are guided by an ethos of empowering them and acting on their needs and wishes.
Our staff and volunteers are our greatest asset and we aim to be an employer of choice.
We are committed to social justice. We provide support to the many people in the community who, for a variety of reasons, including communication difficulties, physical or mental health issues or cultural concerns, feel disempowered.
Whilst we are committed to supporting self-advocacy, we are aware that sometimes even empowered, articulate people are not listened to and are in need of direct advocacy support. Therefore, we aspire to provide access to an advocate to anyone who needs one.
Our clients’ voices should be heard at every level of policy and decision-making. We are dedicated to providing a range of pathways to ensure this happens.
We make our services accessible through networking and partnership. We focus on making ourselves ‘easy to reach’ and reject the thinking that perpetuates the idea of ‘hard to reach’ groups.
We believe in collaboration over competition and champion the importance of a diverse and vibrant voluntary sector.
