An inspiring leader to our Board, you will make certain that all of our services continue
to enhance lives. We will look to you to lead our Board in setting our strategic
direction, deliver effective corporate governance and oversee compliance with
company law and best practice, and you will closely partner the Chief Executive in all
aspects of day-to-day management and longer-term strategy.
Strongly committed to our vision and values, you will bring real understanding of
advocacy within the health and social care field. Equally important, you should be
experienced in chairing a voluntary organisation or public body, capable of thinking
very incisively and creatively, and passionate about making a difference for less
heard groups of people. Please note that we do not remunerate our trustees, but will
reimburse all your professional and travelling expenses.

COMPANY SECRETARY
18-24 days per year - East Sussex area
This role is unremunerated.
You will support the Board in all aspects of corporate governance and provide expert
advice on company law, charity law and regulatory reporting requirements. At the
same time, you will act as custodian of our legal documents, remain abreast of the
latest changes in legislation and provide an impartial voice on all aspects of our
strategic Business Plan.
Naturally, we require a capable and competent Company Secretary who deeply
believes in our values and ethos. We do not remunerate our Trustees, but we will of
course fully reimburse any expenses you occur in travelling to meetings in East Sussex.
