IMCA TEAM MANAGER
Part time - 22 hours per week - Based in Tonbridge, with travel thoughtout Kent and Medway area
Salary: £28,636 pro rata

An exciting vacancy has arisen for an IMCA Team Manager within SEAP. This post is 22 hours per week and there will be an opportunity to work an additional 15 sessional hours per week as an IMCA advocate.

Working in the Kent & Medway areas, you will ensure that the IMCA service is actively promoted to all relevant stakeholders in the local health community. This will involve supporting service delivery through the local team, implementing appropriate policies and procedures, and realising the full potential of our advocates.

You will be a capable and confident manager, ideally within the field of advocacy. You will be passionate about empowerment and capable of mentoring and developing staff using your clear understanding of IMCA and DoLS legislation and practice. Good organisational skills will be prerequisite to ensure effective contract compliance and timely reporting and you will use your excellent communication skills to foster a positive relationship with commissioners.

INDEPENDENT MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE (IMHA)
37 hours per week - this involves travel throughout Berkshire
Salary: £24,646 per annum

Attached to our Windsor or Reading office, you will be working one-to-one with clients with mental health issues throughout Berkshire. You will be providing information about their rights under the Mental Health Act, and supporting them to ensure that their views form a key part of decision making processes.

Having worked previously in advocacy or in the mental health field, you will be informed and passionate about empowerment, inclusion and non-discriminatory practice. Excellent listening and communication skills will be essential to build good relationships with clients and health professionals and of benefit in promoting the IMHA service.

You confidence with ICT and your methodical approach to electronic and paper recording systems will be an advantage in meeting deadlines and working under pressure. You will need to be flexible about hours and have access to a car for the purposes of work.
