Our approach to website accessibility
We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and comply with appropriate standards and guidelines.
This website endeavours to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
Text only and hi-visibility alternatives
Our website provides for a text only site with resizing and hi-visibility options which provide a suitable alternative for all users of the website. This is the most common way of providing an accessible website.
By creating a text only alternative and ensuring that as much of the initiative is adhered to as possible throughout the main website we have developed an acceptable site for all.
You can change the font size using the font size change button (AAA) at the top of the website page or by using your browser:
For Internet Explorer: on the browser tool bar, click 'view', hover over 'text size' and select the text size you require.
For Firefox: use ctrl and the plus key.
This site has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.
Whilst we strive to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website.
We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime should you experience any difficulty in accessing our website, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
